Seahawks offered first and third for Kolb?

Yes, let us again preface this post with “We’re sick of writing about these damn Kevin Kolb rumors.” There is no league right now and no one can do anything. Couple that with the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles, Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals all have very good reasons for putting out smokescreens, and it adds up to most of this stuff being nonsense.

But that’s what OTR is for. Nonsense. And apparently we love passing it along.

A source tells Dave Mahler of KJR 950 in Seattle that the Seahawks in the last four months offered the Eagles a first- and third-round pick in exchange for Kolb.

He goes on to say that this “says more about where (Matt) Hasselbeck is on the priority list in Seattle than it does about the chances of Kolb coming.”

We can buy that. And the Seahawks could just be floating this out there in order to drive the price up for the Cardinals. Who knows? Again, that’s why we hate all this speculation and rumors.
