Roy Williams wants his ring back, bitch
It seems like Dez Bryant isn’t the only Cowboys WR having off-field jewelry issues. Roy Williams, who many think will be cut three minutes after the lockout is lifted, is suing his ex-fiancee-but-not-really-because-she-said-no to get a ring back that’s worth about $76,000
Hey, he needs something to tip the pizza boy with.
Williams apparently mailed this ring to Brooke Daniels with a recorded message asking her to marry him. They would have been engaged if not for the fact that she said no. We don’t know this for sure, but we think Daniels is looking for a guy who doesn’t dog it on intermediate routes and drop easy passes.
Williams says that he also sent $5,000 in that package that was to go to Brooke’s mom. And an investigation by insurers showed that Daniels’ dad is actually in possession of the ring.
“He said, ‘I’m not like a lot of people, I don’t want the ring back,” Daniels’ father Michael said. “You’ll eventually come back to me,’ and she didn’t.”
Her dad said that he just wants to be done with this two-year relationship that was marred by constant bickering and arguing.
“I want to wash my hands of it,” Michael told the American. “It’s just a hassle. I’ll take care of my daughter. I don’t need him.”
In order to win, Williams will need to prove that Brooke was the one that broke off the engagement. Would have been a lot easier if she recorded herself saying “no” in response to his recorded proposal. Then he’d have the mp3 right there for the courts.
