Source: Plaxico in Philly to meet with Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are on fire right now. They traded Kevin Kolb for a second-round pick and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. They signed Vince Young to back up Michael Vick. Today, they shocked the world and signed former Oakland Raiders cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha.

Now, the team could be snagging another big name. OTR spoke to a league source who says that Plaxico Burress was in Philadelphia on Friday. However, the source said that he will be back tomorrow to officially meet with the team and we’re hearing that they won’t let him leave town without an offer.

We’re not sure exactly what Burress has left in the tank. He was on the decline before he shot himself in the leg, and hasn’t played football in two years. But, he could be a huge target for Michael Vick in the red zone and fill a huge need for the Eagles.
