Finnegan walks out of camp
According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, one of the biggest a-holes in the league has decided he’d like a long-term deal from the Tennessee Titans. CB Cortland Finnegan, one of the league’s biggest agitators, has walked out of camp. He’s scheduled to make $3.3 million this year in the last year of a four-year contract.
“Tennessee CB Cortland Finnegan walked out of Titans camp last night. Word is it’s another contract dispute for titans,” Cole tweets.
This is pretty bad news for the Titans. As it is, they have a superstud RB who is playing hard ball in a contract holdout. You’d think it was Chris Matthews, not Chris Johnson, the way he’s playing Hardball. Get it? No?
The Titans are heading into some rough territory and no precedent has been set as far as dealing with malcontents because GM Mike Reinfeldt has no experience with them. And let’s not forget that the Titans were most likely staring down the barrel of an awful season as it was. Now, they have to deal with this? Should be a fun time down there in 2011.
