JaMarcus now influencing Pryor’s JaJersey

This is great. All three loyal OTR readers will remember that we absolutely love breaking former Oakland Raiders QB JaMarcus Russell’s balls. Couldn’t get enough of it. We were very, very sad when he sizzurped his way out of the league.

And thanks to our buddy Lambros for passing this along. The Raiders apparently told Terrell Pryor, whom they selected in the recent Supplemental Draft, that he can’t wear his college No. 2 jersey. You see, there are simply too many bad memories.

Vittorio Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle told us about this on Twitter.

“Ha. Terrelle Pryor (No. 6) says #Raiders coach Hue Jackson won’t let him wear No. 2. JaMarcus Russell was very big, but his ghost is bigger,” Tafur tweets.

So, JaMarcus has succeeded in getting his jersey retired? This is brilliant! He was so god awful, that he got his jersey essentially retired! At least for quarterbacks. Remember, this is an organization that doesn’t retire numbers for great players. Todd Marinovich wore No. 12 if you know what I mean. And I think you might.
