Tebow takes over as Denver’s starter

TimTebow 300x198 Tebow takes over as Denvers starterKyle Orton is making $9 million this season from the Denver Broncos, but he’s played like he’s making $9/hr. So, in Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers, head coach John Fox decided it was time for a change and he put Tim Tebow in.

Tebow got a few things going. Threw some awkward sidearm passes like we knew he would. Oh and he ran when there were any signs of trouble, just like we knew he would.

But, that said, he got things going and got somewhat close to bringing the team back to win the game. They didn’t, but they did more with him under center and looked a little more alive than they did with Orton.

Apparently, Fox agreed. On Tuesday, Fox announced to the team that Tebow was now the team’s starting QB.

He will get the start this week in Miami, where the Dolphins will be honoring the 2009 University of Florida National Championship team. Seriously. We couldn’t make this up. How bad can it get for the lowly Dolphins?
