Yankees sign Aardsma
The New York Yankees are famous for making big splashes in free agency and adding the big names. But they’ve made some smaller moves this offseason and that may end up helping them more. After all, how many more superstars can you have?
According to Bryan Hoch on Twitter, the Yanks have signed RHP David Aardsma, former of the Seattle Mariners.
He’s coming off of Tommy John surgery, so he won’t be able to contribute until midseason. But, he had a 2.90 ERA in 2009-10 and could end up being a huge addition out of the bullpen.
The deal is reportedly worth $500,000.
If Aardsma does a great job and becomes a Hall of Famer, he’d likely be listed first alphabetically.
