By now, we are sure that you heard the rumors about Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West having sexual relations with LeBron James’ mother. As you can tell by the tone of our post on that one, we don’t believe this to be true.

Shockingly though, a ton of people actually believe that this actually occurred and that this is the reason for LeBron’s poor play in the NBA playoffs this year. Enough people believed it to the point where LeBron’s attorney sent the webmaster for TerezOwens.com (we guess that’s where it originated?)/

TMZ.com got a hold of the email and we pasted it below.

At first blush, your irresponsible speculation about what might have contributed to the Cavaliers performance in the Boston series was so idiotic and “off the wall” that we did not think that it even warranted a denial.

No thinking person could possibly believe such rubbish. But you have persisted in repeating this nonsense, attributing it to an unidentified source all for your own personal gain.

We demand that you immediately stop publishing or in any way repeating these false, despicable and per se defamatory statements.

At OTR, there is nothing we love more than random internet rumors that don’t contain any hard facts or evidence. We believe all of them to be true, because if they were false, they wouldn’t be on the internet.

So, have you received the latest email about why the Cleveland Cavaliers went out so miserably in this year’s playoffs? Apparently, the problem with the Cavaliers is there is a locker room issue between Delonte West and Lebron James. It seems to have started when LeBron found out that Delonte was giving LeBron’s mom the bedroom business for several months.

Here is the first piece of damning evidence:

My uncle is the general contractor at the Q and has been for the last 7 years. He is good friends with a lot of guys at the Q including some of the bigger boys in the organization and knows Gilbert personally. I was just told from my brother that a very reliable source informed my uncle that Delonte has been banging Gloria James for some time now. Somehow I guess Lebron found out before game four and it has destroyed our chemistry and divided our team. This is no joke, the only player worse then Lebron has been Delonte. I am not making this up, I wish it wasn’t true but it happened. Wait and see if lebron stays you will not see Delonte in a cavs uni again.

A large number of NBA employees received a VERY interesting email today regarding a developing LeBron James story. I figured before the ESPN assholes get wind of it, you guys should break the story. The word from David Stern’s office is that Delonte West has been sleeping with LeBron’s MOTHER for a couple months now, and LeBron has recently found out. For some reason Delonte is still alive, but not for long – when Cleveland fans find out that for this reason LeBron wants out of Cleveland no matter what. This could explain Delonte’s decreased playing time of late, and who knows – maybe why LeBron hasn’t seemed to have his head fully in the game.

Now it’s coming from David Stern’s office! Oh sweet Jesus! There is no way LeBron is staying in Cleveland! We bet the only reason LeBron hasn’t beaten up Delonte yet is because Delonte tends to be carrying at all times!

This story is only going to grow and come out in the open if credible blogs like ours keep pushing it out there. There isn’t a chance in hell that this isn’t true. First, a guy has an uncle that works at the Q. Then, it came directly out of Stern’s office. Has to be true.

ESPN is reporting that the Cincinnati Bengals and safety Roy Williams have agreed to a one-year deal. Apparently, the Bengals felt like they were a little thin on safeties who can’t cover a table with a table cloth.

We don’t have the full terms of the deal (as you may have noticed), but Williams was one of two defensive free agents that the Bengals really didn’t want to lose with Tank Johnson being the other. As for Johnson, Cincinnati is concerned that if they lose him they may start to fall behind in the Ohio intrastate firearms battle with Cleveland. Delonte West is not to be toyed with in that department.

What do we like best about this story? We saw that Adam Schefter posted it on Twitter, yet it’s on James Walker’s AFC North blog. And it says it’s written by John Clayton. They have a real team effort going on over there in Bristol.

George Thomas via Twitter is informing the whole basketball world that Lebron James will not be playing in Saturday’s game at Milwaukee.

Officially it is listed as a coach’s decision, but Lebron did tweak his ankle in the past two games.

With the Lakers losing two games in a row, it might just give Mike Brown the flexibility in getting Lebron some much needed rest.  Cleveland currently holds a three-game lead over the Lakers for the best record in the NBA.

Back on September 17th, Cleveland Cavaliers guard Delonte West was pulled over after cutting off a police officer with his motorcycle.  When the officer searched Delonte, he found two loaded handguns and a loaded shotgun.

On Tuesday during his eight-count indictment, it was revealed that a new weapon was found on West during his arrest, an eight-and-a-half-inch Bowie knife.  This information added additional weapons and traffic charges.

The eight-count indictment included two counts of carrying a dangerous weapon, two counts of carrying a handgun, two counts of transporting a handgun, and one each for reckless driving and negligent driving. Each weapons count carries a penalty of up to three years in prison.

OTR’s favorite NBA basketball player Delonte West skipped the Cleveland Cavalier’s first day of practice by missing the morning workout and the evening session on Tuesday.

We are all aware that Delonte West was recently arrested in Maryland after he was pulled over on his motorcycle for a traffic violation.  Why arrested?  Because when he was pulled over the police officer found he was carrying three loaded weapons.  Two of them being handguns and one of them being a shotgun that was in a guitar case strapped around his back.  We all know this.  However, this isn’t some Plaxico Burress kinda shit stuff.  He’s only facing misdemeanor gun possession charges.

More importantly, Delonte West is a very important piece to the Cleveland Cavaliers team.  He was easily the second best player during the playoffs for the Cavs last year behind Lebron James.  Moreover, Cleveland needs West at 100%, physically and mentally, to be able to throw out their best team this year in a very competitve Eastern Conference.

When I say competitive, that does not include the Philadelphia 76ers.

Let’s hope Delonte can get his spirits back and wins his battle with depression and mood disorders.  Cleveland will definitely need his services once the season begins.  OTR knows the former St Joseph’s star will prevail.

Prince George’s County police spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Reedy said West was riding a Can-Am Spyder motorcycle north on the Capital Beltway in Upper Marlboro when he cut off an officer, who pulled him over.

Wait, going back to that first paragraph, a shotgun in a suitcase?  Who does that?

The 26-year-old West, who lives in Brandywine, was charged with speeding and weapons counts. Reedy said West was released on his own recognizance early Friday.

Why did you need to be holding three guns in Brandywine?

KIDS ALERT:  This kids alert is an update to the story as per request of Lindsey.  Kids, what did Delonte do wrong here?  Never carry a suitcase when you are riding a motorcycle, it is awfully dangerous.  You want both hands on the steering wheel handle bars.  So, if you have a shotgun, get a strap, so you can strap the gun to your back.

Perhaps one of the most articulate players in the NBA, Delonte West wants his donuts. Where he’s from, snitches get stitches. But judging by his accent he’s from rural Massachusetts, possibly even Cape Cod. We didn’t know they had those sayings there.
