Tate done for the season

The Houston Texans drafted Ben Tate in the second round of this year’s draft just in case Arian Foster couldn’t keep it going and Steve Slaton couldn’t figure out how to hold onto the football. That plan will have to be on hold for a year because it looks like Tate is done for the [...]

Andre Johnson gets paid

Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson is most likely the best receiver in the entire NFL, and hence, the entire world. He’s huge, he’s fast, he uses his body brilliantly (especially on the dance floor) and he has great hands. Well now, he’ll be paid like the uber elite WR that he is. The Texans [...]

Andre Johnson will report to OTAs today

Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson has missed the first three days of ‘voluntary’ OTAs (Organized Team Activities).  Not a huge deal, but one can assume, then guarantee, that if Johnson was making a salary which reflected his dominating abilities he would have been on the field at the beginning of the week. In March [...]

After hearing about Houston Texans LB Brian Cushing’s four-game suspension for steroid use, the Associated Press decided to conduct a re-vote for the Defensive Rookie of the Year award. Brian Cushing suspended four games

Oh, so maybe that’s why he is so damn good. Last year’s defensive rookie of the year Brian Cushing seems like he had a little help getting to the finish line. The Houston Texans LB has been suspended four games for violating the NFL’s steroids policy. Cushing can participate in training camp, but can’t play [...]

A source tells Steve Wyche of NFL.com that the majority of the deal is in place between former Houston Texan Dunta Robinson and the Atlanta Falcons. He expects a deal to be finalized by the end of the weekend. This would be a good move for the Falcons, who desperately need help in the secondary. [...]

Texans interested in Tomlinson?

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, who is rarely right about anything including what kind of appetizer to order at Applebee’s, is reporting that the Houston Texans would be among the teams interested in veteran RB Ladainian Tomlinson after he is cut by the San Diego Chargers. We think that the Texans could address their running back situation [...]

Brady pulls out of Pro Bowl

New England Patriots QB Tom Brady has pulled out of the Pro Bowl and will be replaced by Houston Texand QB Matt Schaub, who threw for more than 4,700 yards this season and should probably have been voted in to begin with. Brady was banged up quite a bit this year and there is no [...]

Kris Brown blows it

Houston Texans kicker Kris Brown will take the fall for the loss Monday night to the Tennessee Titans, but there is more blame to go around. How about that lousy horsecollar penalty the Texans took (total BS) to give the Titans a first down on their last drive and got them out of the shadow [...]

Texans aren’t interested in Larry

Despite reports from NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora (who generally does a good job) implying that Larry Johnson to the Houston Texans was all but a done deal, the whiny, spitty RB apparently won’t be headed to the 713. “We took all the factors into consideration — football, off-the-field issues, and we determined that it [...]

Daniels done for the year

Houston Texans TE Owen Daniels is out for the year with a torn ACL. This is terrible news for a guy that has been one of the best tight ends in football this year. He was on pace to catch 80 balls for 1,038 yards and 10 TD’s. That’s a monster year. Now, it looks [...]
