The Chicago Bears have released former All-Pro CB Nathan Vasher, according to Adam Schefter. Vasher, 29, was an All-Pro in 2005, but has been pretty much ineffective the last few years. Many league observers didn’t think Vasher would even make the team out of training camp anyway.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, former San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson has selected the New York Jets over the Minnesota Vikings. Schefter says that he and the Jets have agreed on a two-year deal worth $5.2 million with another $500,000 in incentives.

According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the Minnesota Vikings appear to have interest in free-agent RB Ladainian Tomlinson as a possible replacement for Chester Taylor.
