San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum has filed for $13 million in arbitration, according to SI.com’s Jon Heyman. The Giants submitted a paltry, are-you-actually-serious $8 million on their end. According to Rick Thurman, the agent for San Francisco Giants superstud Tim Lincecum, the two-time Cy Young Award winner will seek a one-year deal in his first arbitration eligible offseason. He surely will break Ryan Howard’s record ($10 million) for first-year arbitration-eligible players.
