Thanks to Anthony for passing this along.

This little kid is balling over the thrashing that the New England Patriots gave to his Eagles last Sunday. We think there were probably even some adults in the Delaware Valley behaving like this and rightly so.

But, this kid doesn’t take his frustrations out on his worthless team. Nope, he blames the guy who ruined the Eagles last week: Tom Brady.

Watch as this kid melts down as Brady carves up the Eagles defense.

I’ve got my list of Tiered QB’s. Let’s see what you think:

*In no particluar order*

Tier 1

Tom Brady
Peyton Manning
Drew Brees
Ben Roethlisberger

The above mentioned are the elite QB’s of the NFL. They’ve proven to be winners in the regular season and post season, all rock the hardware and have earned respect across the NFL. Can you really argue with anyone on this list? You may want to sneak another name on it…but you simply can’t offer a name that, at this moment, has the pedigree to compare. Let’s see what Aaron Rodgers does in two weeks and we might need to adjust.

Tier 2

Aaron Rodgers
Philip Rivers
Mike Vick

These are the guys that everyone has their eyes on. The guys that can put a game on their shoulders and virtually win it for their respective teams when called upon. The only problem… championships. Rivers hasn’t had much success in the post season, but few will argue that the guy is a hell of a QB. Vick has transformed his game to a more complete package and if it isn’t a fluke, he has a real shot at a ring. He’ll have an even better shot if he signs elsewhere! Rodgers will quickly be vaulted to a Tier 1 with a win against the Steelers.

Tier 3

Matt Ryan
Eli Manning
Jay Cutler

This is a tough group to judge. I like Matt Ryan. He is a young, up-and-coming QB who could have some pretty nice years ahead of him. He typically makes the right decisions and puts in a solid effort week in and week out. I still don’t believe Manning is a great QB. He is good and it stops there. Yes, he has a Super Bowl ring, but so does Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson. Don’t see me putting those guys on any top QB lists. Regardless, for as many stinkers as Manning puts up, he has a few games where he looks like he should be considered one of the better QB’s in the league. Jay Cutler has something about him that makes him special…at times. There is no denying his talent, but sometimes he looks terrible. This past weekend will also hurt his credibility and he’ll have to fight through that.

Tier 4

Sam Bradford
Matt Cassell
Matt Stafford
Josh Freeman

These are the guys that are young, relatively inexperienced and may make the biggest impact down the road. Matt Cassell has the most experience of the group and this season he quietly put up a very impressive season. It helps when you have the best rushing attack as a compliment, but let’s not take anything away from Cassell. He is a very solid QB who can be special. Same goes for the other three on this list. All three are young and uber talented. Josh Freeman and Sam Bradford have already shown that they not only belong in this league, but they will be the stars of it in 3-4 years. Stafford’s only knock is whether or not he can stay healthy. When he’s on the field, Detroit can win. He has show the ability to lead the team down the field and there is something that say’s winner about him.

Honorable Mentions:

Joe Flacco
Tony Romo
Matt Schaub
Mark Sanchez

It’s hard for me to include these guys in the top tiers of QBs. In all reality, look at the lists above. Would you take one of the honorable mentions over anyone I’ve listed? Personally, the only one I have in question is Eli Manning. I may take Sanchez over Manning, but I’m not sure if that is simply because of my pure dislike of Manning’s game. To me, Sanchez has “it”… whatever “it” is. He is another guy I simply see as a “winner” but not enough upside to put him in with Stafford, Bradford and Freeman.

Romo just doesn’t scream “top QB” to me. I know he has numbers and flash, but something doesn’t resonate with me when I compare him to the others. It’s really that simple to me.

Matt Schaub is a tough one, but again, I can’t put him ahead of anyone else on this list. Some games he looks like he can be a very legit QB and other games he disappears. If you can validate putting him ahead of the above listed, I’ll at least listen.

Finally, Joe Flacco. This one will probably receive the most puzzled looks. Flacco has been a very good quarterback in Baltimore, but I have yet to see him do anything special. He lacks a certain quality that I think every elite, or at least, very good QB has. When I watch him play, I see solid, not special. So again, I can’t put him ahead of the proven, those on the cusp, the ones with star qualities or even those who simply show the potential to be great. Sorry Joe.

That said, being a Philadelphia guy and always backing the 2nd chance given to Michael Vick… I’m not one to bash Roethlisberger and act like he isn’t a great QB because of off the field poor judgment calls. The fact is, I don’t care. In a vacuum, I’m judging you on the player your are, not the person you are. Ben Roethlisberger is a hell of QB and needs to be in more of the “elite” conversations.

Ben Wins. Period. He wins in the regular season. He wins in the post season. Ben Wins. He can beat you with his arm strength and accuracy. He can pick up tough yards when needed. Hell, he’ll even pick up a game-saving tackle on the Colt’s Nick Harper to lock up a win. Everyone forgets that in 2005, had Big Ben not made that game-saving tackle with about 1:00 to go in the 4th… there is no title and perhaps we aren’t even having this conversation. But we are…because he did… and they won.

Among quarterbacks with at least 10 playoff games starts, he is 2nd in win percentage only behind Bart Starr. In terms of playoff wins, only current or virtual lock Hall of Famers are ahead of him… such as Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw and John Elway. He is already ahead of guys like Steve Young, Peyton Manning and Dan Marino. For all the talk about Tom Brady, he has eight more post season starts than Big Ben, and only five more wins. Could be four after this weekend. Could be three after this season.

Compare that to his counterparts in the 2004 draft and it becomes even more impressive. Eli Manning has compiled a 4-3 record in his seven playoff starts and one Super Bowl win. Phillip Rivers is only 3-4 in his seven starts. Ben is 9-2 with two rings.

Just think about that. If Roethlisberger is able to get the Steelers back to the Superbowl, he’ll have three rings in seven years under center. If that happens he’ll have a post season record of 11-2! Granted, a lot still needs to take place for that to come true, but it is certainly attainable.

Let’s be honest, neither Roethlisberger nor ANY QB in NFL history has ever won a preseason, regular season or playoff game on his own. Say what you want, you’re wrong. But through the history books, plenty of great QB’s were surrounded by great teams. Roethlisberger is no different. Lucky for him, he gets to rape the benefits. Freudian slip. Lucky for him, he gets to REAP the benefits.

My point is, regardless of what happens this Sunday, Ben deserves his props. When you talk about top-tier QB’s, Big Ben better be mentioned. I honestly thought he was the best QB coming out of the 2004 draft (much in part because I hated Eli and wasn’t sure about Rivers) and he has proven that to date. Now I look forward to every one of my Pittsburgh pals making me regret everything I just wrote….

That was supposedly part of the reason for his struggles. But, since there weren’t any beat writers saying anything about it, most were skeptical.

But, now the Boston Globe reports that Brady will undergo surgery on his right foot Thursday, which has had a stress fracture lingering for some time.

Photo Caption: Look at this photo and think of slow, heavy-handed, morose, single-note acoustic guitar melodies playing in the distance.

According to the Globe, there is a chance that he could push back the surgery to Monday, but that is a slim chance.

This probably means that Brady will be listed as probable on the Pro Bowl injury report.

Well, cornerback Antonio Cromartie took it to a different level. He clearly does not have a Tom Brady Fathead on his bedroom wall.

“We see that a lot. He does it a lot,” Cromartie said, when asked about the finger pointing. “That’s the kind of guy he is. We really don’t give a damn, to tell you the truth.”

And just what kind of person would Tom Brady be exactly?

“An asshole,” he said. “Fuck him.”

Sweet! This almost guarantees that Cromartie will get lit up by a mediocre Patriots receiver this week.

We want to hang out with this guy. T-Sizzle said that the NFL favors the likes of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, while not caring too much about anyone else.

“The league has their favorites,” Suggs said. “One being in Indy and one being with that other team up north. Besides those two, everybody is fair game. Some quarterbacks are getting the calls right away. Some quarterbacks they don’t care.

“Like I always said, Carson Palmer got hit in his knee in 2005 but there was no rule made. Then Tom Brady got hit in his knee and all of a sudden there is a rule and possible suspensions, excessive fines — it’s just getting ridiculous.”

Not exactly true. They did change a rule so you couldn’t hit a QB at or below the knee.

He was then asked about Ed Reed. “When you’ve got a guy like that, he’s like American Express,” Suggs replied. “He’s everywhere you want to be.”

When asked about his improved play this year, he said “I quit doing cocaine.”

Then there was this gem. Perhaps our favorite of all of them. He was asked about the fight between Andre Johnson and Cortland Finnegan. “Maybe [if] I throw some punches at a quarterback with a bad hairdo, I’d get thrown out of the league,” he said.

T-Sizzle is great.

Two teams have never controlled their own destiny this early in a season more than the Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks. If either team wins out, they will win their respective divisions, which makes this Week Six match-up OTR’s Featured Game Of The Week. Unfortunately, for the Seahawks, Sunday’s game won’t be featuring Todd Collins, who completed six passes to his own team and four passes to the Carolina Panthers last week. His performance most resembled Damon Wayans’ 2006 stand-up routine Still Standing, entertaining and humorous. There was one play where Collins actually threw an incomplete hand-off, also known as a fumble, but I like my wording better. Let me explain. Instead of gently laying the ball in the stomach of his running back, Collins flinged the ball to his gut with a weird front-handed wrist toss. There was no need for him to do that. However, nobody can question his toughness and fortitude. He was still standing at the end of the game with a win and 32 more passing yards added to his career totals. Bears fans can’t wait to see Jay Cutler back. Chicago Bears 24 Seattle Seahwaks 20

Baltimore Ravens (+2.5) over New England Patriots

What happens when two teams square off on the same field they battled nine months before in the 2009 Wild Card playoff round? It becomes, OTR’s Featured Game Of The Week. However, two key components from last years 33-14 beat down will not be suiting up, Randy Moss and Ed Reed. Randy Moss (five catches for 48 yards on Jan. 10th) was traded to the Minnesota Vikings less than two weeks ago and Ed Reed (four tackles and one interception on Jan. 10th) is still on the PUP list recovering from off-season hip surgery. So, let’s turn our focus on their replacements, Baltimore safety Tom Zbikowski and New England wide receiver Brandon Tate. Actually, let’s not. Let’s discuss what’s going to happen in the game. Tom Brady will get pummeled by never-ending blitz packages. They will come from the right. They will come from the left. And some will actually come through the middle. Who is New England’s threat anymore? BenJarvus? Aaron Hernandez? Little Julian Edelman? The Pied Piper of Hamelin? Jack Bauer? I’ll give you Wes Welker, but Baltimore will keep him in check. Tom Brady is a great quarterback, but I just don’t see the weapons that can pick apart this Ravens defense. Furthermore, the Ravens are not as sloppy as the Miami Dolphins, so you won’t see punt blocks, kick returns for touchdowns or any other special teams disasters. It’s quite possible we might see a repeat of January’s playoff game. Baltimore Ravens 33 New England Patriots 14

Pittsburgh Steelers (-14) over Cleveland Browns

In this super-exciting, lopsided rivalry, two quarterbacks will be getting their first start of the season. Ben Roethlisberger is coming off his four-game suspension for doing steroids and smoking endless amounts of pot. And rookie Colt McCoy will be under center for the Browns after the dramatic deaths of Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace. You know the phrase ‘Any given Sunday’? Well, the phrase doesn’t have anything to do with this game, which just so happens to be OTR’s Featured Game Of The Week. Cleveland has zero shot to win this game, or to even cover. There’s a better chance that the Philadelphia 76ers will play the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals this season. There’s a better chance that Lindsey Lohan will stop snorting Red Bull and coke up her nose. There’s a better chance that I won’t watch anymore episodes of River Monsters. All I want to know is what’s on the end of his line and I’ll watch one full hour to see. I’m hooked, no pun intended. I’m lying. That pun was most certainly intended. I had ‘addicted’ but changed it to hooked. There’s a better chance that the…..alright, we get the picture. Cleveland is getting smoked like Santonio Holmes’ bong. Pittsburgh Steelers 31 Cleveland Browns 10

Oakland Raiders (+7) over San Francisco 49ers

What? The 49ers have proved week after week that they stink worse than a dirty hippie on a curry diet. So, Vegas makes them a seven point favorite? Granted, they are playing the Raiders, but a seven point favorite? What this line tells me is that as bad as the 49ers are, the Raiders are that much worse, but I’m not buying it. Did 49ers owner Jed York’s speech about them winning the division inspire the gambling nation? Has everyone been taking the Niners, pushing the spread to minus seven? Or are the Raiders this bad? I’m confused with this game. I also feel bad for the state of California. All three of their NFL football teams stink. They are a combined 4-11. That’s how short Snookie from the Jersey Shore is…4’11”. And that’s how tall Alex Smith plays at quarterback…4’11”. You know what? Oakland isn’t this bad. This line is an insult to the Raiders and their fans. And they will take their frustrations out on the miserable 0-5 49ers in OTR’s Featured Game Of The Week. Alex Smith can kiss his starting job away. Oakland Raiders 27 San Francisco 49ers 13

Season Record (5-3)

Odds based on Saturday’s NFL lines on Vegasinsider, MGM Mirage.

Supposedly, Brady told him to cut his beard and Moss told him to cut his hair because he looked like a girl.

Well, according to New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, the incident never occurred. When asked about it, he said “that’s news to me.”

“Who’s been wrong more than Charley Casserly since he left the Redskins? His percentage is like a meteorologist,” Belichick said.

“He has no relationship to this team,” he said. “I’d say less than zero. Based on what? He’s never at a practice, never at a game.”

Peter King of SI.com also disputes the notion that there was a fight. Two high-level sources told him that “someone is lying to CBS.”

Moss is in the last year of his contract, but why would the Patriots want to give him up now?

Well, supposedly, Bill Belichick isn’t happy with him right now and that might have been evidenced by Moss only having one target Monday night.

But, there are a lot of rumors out there right now, so listen up and listen good. Who knows if these rumors are true, but we’re going to provide you with everything we can find.

The deal supposedly hinges on Moss working out a long-term contract (or merely a contract extension; his deal runs out after this year) with the Minnesota Vikings. But, Jay Glazer of Foxsports.com says that they could still do a trade without the extension if it really came down to it.

“Just to update, sides still working this, have been working it. Could end up makin the deal eve w out a new contract for moss if it comes down to it. They’ve been crankin on it,” Glazer tweets.

But, Mike Lombardi of NFLN is hearing that Moss has not been given permission to talk to another team (Minnesota) about a contract extension. And Jason La Canfora of the same network says that no deal is imminent.

“From what I’m hearing now, Randy Moss could well end up a Viking, again, but there are hurdles to clear. Not a fait accompli by any stretch,” La Canfora tweets.

And the Patriots official response to this? “There is no trade.”

Why did this come about all of a sudden? It would seem that both the player and the team aren’t happy with one another. Moss thinks he deserves a new contract. The Patriots don’t seem inclined to give him one.

According to the Boston Herald (a newspaper), Moss had his agent call the Patriots after Week 1 to demand a trade. That would make sense of all this, wouldn’t it? That would make his post-game tirade after Week 1 more relevant.

It looks like a deal will probably get done. The Vikings are in dire need of a wide receiver to do something besides drop the ball. And remember Brett Favre wanted Moss years ago when he was with the Packers. And he was pissed that Green Bay wasn’t able to get something done.

There are rumors that the Patriots are asking for a third-round pick in return. That must mean they are really sick of his crap. Wonder what Tom Brady thinks of this.

QB Tom Brady was in a car accident this morning in Boston on Comm Ave, but it doesn’t look to be too serious and he returned to practice today.

“It looked like a high impact crash,” said a witness.

“It was extremely loud,” said another woman. “At 6:30 this morning it woke people up out of a dead sleep.”

“Brady’s fackin’ cah was ladgely unhammed,” another witness may or may not have said.

The accident was bad enough, as a passenger in the van that collided with Brady needed to be cut out of the vehicle.

“Tom Brady’s passenger and he both looked fine. They were up and walking,” according to a witness. “The two other passengers from the other van…they got on their own too. It was really just the one passenger that had to be cut out.”

But, the good news is that the superstar athlete didn’t get hurt. Commoners be damned, we need to keep our priorities in order.

Brady was treated by the team’s medical staff and participated in a walkthrough today, according to Kevin Faulk.

This is pretty funny. Thanks to Fooks for tipping us off on this one. We don’t know how in the hell this guy gets press credentials or if he will continue to get a media pass, but the 1920′s guy does a great job imitating the old reporters from the Depression era.

Calling the interviewee “champ” and referring to the Dallas secondary as “doing the Charleston” if pretty hilarious.

We don’t think reporters really acted like this back in the 1920′s, but they are sure as hell portrayed that way in old movies. He probably is (or should be) wearing a brimmed hat with a big white tag that says “Media” on it. And if he has a camera with a huge flash bulb on it, that would be even better.

People can say “oh he’s fine” and whatever and blah blah woof woof, but the reality is that someone came through the line and collapsed his knee. Say what you want, it was going to take him a minute to get comfortable again with guys diving all around his legs while he tried to find a receiver downfield.

So, one would imagine that he wouldn’t be thrilled if he was to lose one of the guys that is supposed to keep the opposing guys from falling on his knee. Especially when it’s the guy who is replacing a quality starter like Logan Mankins (contract issues).

But, a league source says that Nick Kaczur is telling teammates that he has a back issue that could sideline him for the entire 2010 season. The Patriots, however, would not confirm that information or comment on his long-term prognosis. He has been sidelined for the team’s last 11 training camp practices.

This would leave the Pats with Dan Connolly, who has four career starts, all coming last season. The Patriots should hope that Kaczur is just messing with his teammates and BS’ing them. That is most likely not the case.

While they-ah precious Celtics ah tryin’ tah beat the Lak-ahs in fah straight games, they-ah cottahback is enterin’ the final yee-ah of his sixty million dollah deal.

Ok, enough Boston talk. But seriously, according to Michael Silvah (ok, one mah. Ok, that’s two) of Yahoo! Sports, there have been no substantial talks of a contract extension between Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. Brady is entering the final year of his contract and one would think that he’d be in line to get one of the top contracts in NFL history.

Photo Caption: Yep. We’d lock that up long-term.

Brady declined to talk to Silver about the situation as he says he’s not comfortable talking about it. But, Patriots owner Bob Kraft expressed optimism last week about a deal getting done.

“We’re very lucky to have him as our quarterback and we want him to be our quarterback for a long time into the future,” Kraft said.

Silver says that some of those close to Brady feel like the organization isn’t exactly killing themselves to get a deal done. And while it’s a remote possibility that Brady would ever leave via free agency, it is possible that Brady gets the franchise tag at some point.

Maybe the lack of a CBA and pending labor issues are holding up a deal. That’s certainly possible. But, despite the fact that Brady turns 33-years old in August, you’d have to think that there is no way in hell that they let this dude walk. That would just seem stupid to us.

Obviously, there are differences. No one thinks Brady is going anywhere while the Eagles are going to give McNabb one more chance (at best) to prove he should stay.

But yes, it’s true, Brady is set to earn a $3 million roster bonus in March as he enters the final year of his deal. Mike Reiss of ESPN thinks that this will accelerate talks of a long-term extension for Brady, who the Pats would rather get locked up before the bonus. Reiss estimates that Brady will fetch between $15-$18 million per year with a contract that’s about five years in length.

There are rumors that New England Patriots QB Tom Brady and Philadelphia Eagles QB Donovan McNabb are in touch regarding good places to golf this offseason. Both got an early jump on the competition and should be able to solidify some good tee times.

Donovan and the Eagles were thoroughly outclassed Saturday night by the Dallas Cowboys. The Eagles couldn’t start a drive outside of their own 20 and were getting killed in the field position battle all night. The offensive line couldn’t give McNabb as much as a half second to find a receiver. And when they did, he missed. The Eagles also couldn’t run the ball on offense, which some think is a problem. As for the defense, they didn’t even belong on the same field as the Cowboys offense.

Brady and his Patriots saw a similar fate on Sunday afternoon against the Baltimore Ravens. The Patriots defense was awful, giving up an 83-yard TD run to Ray Rice on the game’s first play. The Ravens hardly threw the ball, instead running up and down the field on a sub-par defense. Brady couldn’t get comfortable and threw for just 154 yards and 2 TD’s to go with three picks. He was definitely bad, but it’s mainly the fault of the Pats defense.

Here is something fun you can do. Check the media coverage of both of these games. Both QB’s didn’t play well, but their team lost the games due to thorough ass whoopings in all other phases of the game. Let’s see which QB is asked to shoulder more of the blame.

Currently, Donovan is lobbying for the Centerton Country Club in South Jersey, while Brady is trying to convince him that Dave’s Chip’n'Putt outside of Framingham has great ice cream for when they are done golfing.

“More on Brady: he broke the ribs in the preseason game against the Redskins, and re-aggravated the injury in NY against the Jets..,” she tweets.

This would indicate to us that Brady shouldn’t be playing any meaningless time this week. But, what do we know? Leave him in there so he can get the reps, right?

We have been discussing this for a while, but it hasn’t really been talked about. Finally, someone actually comes out and says what is becoming more and more obvious. Maybe New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick isn’t the genius that everyone thinks. Phenomenal coach? Undoubtedly. But as Bob Ryan correctly points out in this video, the Patriots are the worst in the league (in terms of getting starters) at the NFL draft over the past five years.

Signing Adalius Thomas was obviously a mistake (he’s inactive for Sunday’s game). Trading away Richard Seymour? How is that looking now considering that the Pats don’t get that first-round pick until 2011 and they can’t currently stop anyone on defense. If the Pats don’t get extremely with Tom Brady (it’s not every day that you find one of the best quarterbacks of all time in the 6th round), Belichick could have been out of a job some six or seven years ago.

Ok, ok, that’s not entirely true. But, our pals at TMZ (they know who we are) are reporting that several photographers have filed a lawsuit in NY federal court suing Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen over a shooting incident in Costa Rica. Supposedly, Brady and his broad had some wedding party festivities or something and these dudes were taking pictures from some location where they said they had clearance.

They are suing because apparently Brady’s security people got a little out of hand. And when we say “a little out of hand,” we mean that they fired shots at the photographers’ SUV.

One photographer claims he “managed to run off and escape” but another says he was “grabbed by the bodyguard, his arm twisted behind him and immobilized.”

Photo Caption: Who would want to marry that? We wouldn’t be able to wake up every morning and be forced to ram our faces all the way up that and dig for gold. Just sickening.

TMZ continues:

In the suit, filed today in federal court in NY, the photogs claim 5 other men joined in — and refused to let the one captive snapper go.

Eventually, the photog claims he was allowed back into the SUV and allowed to pick up the other photog — but security demanded the two drive up to the Bundchen residence for further discussions.

In the docs, the men claim they tried to speed away from the security team, and that’s when, “the Brady/Bundchen bodyguards opened fire with pistols.”

The men claim the bullets “shattered” the rear window of the SUV” and “narrowly missed striking the heads” of the two photogs.

The photogs claim Brady and Bundchen were negligent in hiring and training the security team — and allowed the hired muscle to “discharge firearms with intent to kill or wound.”

The photogs are seeking more than $1 million in damages.

Not now! We think this is a great idea….fantasy football insurance!

You pay these guys some 10% of your league fee or whatever (we didn’t look into this too much) and then if one or more of your players suffers a season-changing injury, they will refund your league entrance fee.
